Antibacterial Effect Of Fe2o3 Nanoparticles Synthesized By B. diffusa Herbal Extract

The present study was carried out in order to eva-luate the potential antibacterial activity of iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe2O3) synthesized by green synthesis against gram negative and gram positive bacteria. The synthesized iron oxide nanoparticles were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM-EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Antibacterial activity was investigated using agar well diffusion method. The characterized nanoparticles were average size 34 nm with spherical shape. The green synthesized iron oxide nanoparticles show good antibacterial effect on gram positive bacteria compare to gram negative bacteria.
